January 2012

Editors notes

Many of us have just caught our breath after the festive season, and are trying really hard not to throw our new year's resolutions to the wind and are thinking, what now? What does 2012 have in store for me?

Well that's the joy of life, its an adventure and sometimes a jolly hard slog; every year has the possibility of being a new chapter of new choices. You can't change your history, but you can learn from it, try to do the best you can for today and make plans and focus on the future and yes maybe not all your plans will turn out the way you hoped they would - but let's hope they turn out way better than you ever imagined.

This year I would love to have more feedback from you on topics that you would like to be discussed in the newsletter. I am going to jam pack this year with Relationship information for you on a home and work front - how to deal with bedroom boredom a bad boss or become the boss and so much more. Forward us your feedback.

Warm regards
Ali xxx

Why is long lasting love so elusive?

Love is in the air as February 14th quickly approaches, I have not met a single person that does not want to be happy and in love – so why then does lasting love seem so elusive? The reason we fall in love may be a mystery but the reason we stay in love is far more practical. Read on...

Valentines gift giving tips:

Valentines Gift giving tips: Better to buy early rather than wind up with the last bunch of wilted supermarket flowers. At the best of times gift- giving can be tricky a mixture of obligation and a genuine desire to spoil your partner.

4 Tips:
To give or not to give:
No matter our age we still experience that delicious anticipation when we are given a gift with our names on it. To be taken into consideration, remembered and valued is something most people crave and appreciate. Stop over analysing –and give.

What should you give: Take some time to consider what type of gift to give – the gift should say - I was thinking of you.
No no's: Two gifts that are sure to backfire in a new relationship is an overly expensive gift or an overly intimate gift and whatever you do KEEP AWAY FROM GIVING HIM/HER A BAR OF SOAP!

Personalise it: A gift doesn't have to be big or expensive to be meaningful, resist buying the first trinket you see and put some personal effort into it. When your partner looks at the gift they should immediately think of you.

Keep it simple: Gift -giving and romance go together, keep it simple, light hearted and enjoy another reason to celebrate
